GUIDO SALAS (LIMA, 1993) is a visual artist, photographer and film laboratory technician. His artistic practice centres on experimental processes and film manipulation as a medium for dialogue and the questioning of human reality.
Salas' work mainly revolves around photography and its materials, making use of the latter as a plastic and malleable object that brings him closer to the techniques of the plastic arts.
He often blurs the limits of photography, seeking to explore new functions through the application of unusual methods.

Salas currently dedicates his time to researching contemporary photographic processes and the role they play within the current artistic canon. In addition, he is also running the photographic laboratory ‘Sales de Plata’ (MADRID) where he specialises in colour management and all types of analogue film processing as well as leads photography workshops.
